I understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In my desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored:
24 hour advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment.
This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give 24 hours advance notice you will be charged ½ the rate for your missed appointment.
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” They will be charged for their “missed” appointment.
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, we will determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session. Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time.
I’m happy to adjust pressure, temperature, musical volume, work
longer on an area or move on if you request it.
The client may choose to: leave on as much clothing as needed for comfort, refuse any massage methods, stop massage at any time.
Traditional massage and bodywork techniques are performed with the client free of all jewelry and undergarments to achieve the best work possible. However, comfort and privacy is my number one priority. You may decide you would like to leave a certain amount of clothing on for your treatment. I will do my best work through the clothes and sheets and still remain effective. You will be properly draped using the currently accepted practices during the entire session to ensure your comfort, warmth and modesty.
I will treat all client visits and conditions as confidential. As
such, I will not discuss your visit with anybody outside without your
You may choose to talk or not talk during the massage. Conversation will be guided by the client’s direction.
It is the responsibility of the client to keep the massage therapist informed of any medical treatment currently being taken, and to provide written permission from the physician, chiropractor, physical therapist, etc., if it is necessary. The client must also keep the massage therapist informed of any changes in health conditions.
